Aquastar Seatime ref. 1000 (steel)

Description

The Aquastar Seatime is one of the lesser know dive watches, but probably was more innovative then many of the other well known dive watches from the same era. To prevent the bezel from being turned accidentaly, the bezel was placed inside the case underneath the crystal. On most dive watches, this would mean there would be a second crown to rotate the bezel, but Aquastar developed a technique to adjust the bezel, wind the watch and set the time with just one crown. When the crown is in winding position, the bezel turns two ways. The crown is pulled out to set the time, like a regular watch. There is no quickset date function on this watch, but the date can be adjusted relatively easily by moving the hands back and forth between 9 and 3 o’clock.

Please note that due to the age of this watch, this watch is not water resistant and should be treated like any vintage watch.

Condition

Dial: fully original, with some patina/spots between 12 and 3 o’clock

Hands: original hands, good condition, lime appears to be original

Case: stainless steel case, unpolished, shows scratches and dents

Crown: original crown, good condition

Crystal: plexi crystal, no scratches

Movement: AS2066 movement with signed rotor, serviced, 12 months warranty

Strap: rubber strap
