Founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot, Zenith has long been regarded as one of Switzerland’s most respected watch manufactures. The brand built its reputation on high quality movements and chronometric precision, supplying timepieces that were used both in everyday life and in professional environments. Nowadays, the brand is mainly known for their legendary El Primero automatic chronograph movement, introduced in 1969. This movement is nowadays still in production virtually unchanged in 1969, and the fact that Rolex used this movement as the first automatic movement in their Daytona is a testimony to Zenith’s craftmanship and quality.

This Zenith pocket watch dates to approximately 1916, a period when pocket watches were still the standard for personal timekeeping. The watch features a solid silver case (0.800) with a generous diameter of 49 mm, giving it a strong presence and excellent legibility. The mineral crystal protects the enamel dial that combines readability with the elegant style of this era. Inside, the watch is powered by a manually wound movement, made in-house by Zenith.

For the collector, this watch offers more than timekeeping alone. It is a tangible piece of Zenith’s early history and a refined addition to any serious collection.
