Swiss made pocket watch, made by La Phare. The watch has a enamel dial with Arabic numerals, with a small second hand at 6 and a 30 minute counter at 12. The watch is made for the English market, the dial is signed with “Muir & Sons, Glasgow” which was the jeweler who retailed the watch. The case is gold filled with a round crown and bow and distinct English case shape. The movement is manually wound and has a column wheel chronograph mechanism. The movement plates have a frosted gilt finish and the steel chronograph parts have beautiful trusted finish. The chronograph is operated with a pusher in the crown, which allows to start, stop and reset the chronograph. Due to the column wheel mechanism, the chronograph operates smooth like butter!
The case shows a little wear on the cashback and edges. The enamel dial in pristine. The hands are in good condition. The movement looks beautiful with little to no corrosion and damage and has been fully overhauled, with a new alloy mainspring installed. The chronograph operates smoothly and resets exactly at zero. The watch keeps time within 1 minute in 24 hours.
